Since our inception, we have been proud to support community members and grassroots organizations in responding to and preventing the growth of hate movements. This workshop is grounded in key antifascist action principles, and offers strategies from our own experiences, as well as lessons we have learned from other brave antifascists. 

This workshop is based on our free, publicly accessible Guide for Pride Defenders, and explores how the strategies and suggestions found within it can apply to a variety of community defences against hate. 

Our workshops are intended to complement—not replace—anti-racist education.

What to Expect

Participants will learn about:

• Hallmarks of Hate
• Core tenets of antifascism
• Safe(r) counter-protesting

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about specific scenarios, and more technical strategies will be walked through with examples.

Audience

This workshop is ideal for everyone. No experience in activism is necessary to benefit from this workshop.
